Diabetics are often prone to dry skin, especially if their blood sugar is high. Here are some ways to help soothe that itchy dry skin:
- Drink fluids! Lots of water is the best but also any caffeine-free sugar-free drinks will help hydrate the skin.
- Take warm baths and showers. Using hot water dries out the skin.
- Use a good moisturizing lotion. Rub it everywhere except between the toes.
